HAPPINESS

Happiness is the ultimate good that we all seek. All other goods the seek to achieve this and we doing different activities.

If our activities we do to be happy the question that should be asked is: What is the activity that provides greater happiness? Contemplation and she is the only one that can properly attributed to God. God is the happiest and if we have to imagine an activity for this is contemplation. That’s why contemplation is the activity that provides greater happiness and all the best contemplations is one in which it is contemplated to be more beautiful or object. And what is the being or object more beautiful? God. But like us humans, we can not contemplate it absolutely, only those who can see the divine spark in humans are happier because they are the closest to pure contemplation divine activity that provides the only true happiness .

THE MANSION OF THE WILLOWS

I

On December 1, 1830 was a very pointed in the life of Alexander Scheffer and his fiancee Hilde. It was the day on which they went to see what was to be his future home in their next life together. Located in a quiet area bordering a beautiful beech forest was a neoclassical building almost isolated. Just an old abandoned mansion was close to it. If you looked from the living room window you could see. He had worn a facade of what once must have been a center full of life. A garden herbs growing in the wild and two majestic willow was all that remained.

Scheffer Alexander was the son of Baron G. .. He was 27. Tall, thin, black hair and brown eyes had a distinctly spiritual temperament and felt a great attraction for all they represent a mystery. Everything mysterious premonition that made him ideal world you’ve always dreamed of. Hilde Franz was the daughter of a cloth merchant Behm. He was 21. Of slight build and white skin with long golden hair and a beautiful blue eyes had a sweet and romantic. Alexander loved with all his heart since I met him. And he her but sometimes seem distant. She learned that it was not indifference to her but only a raid on his rich inner world which drew strength and light to continue facing life with optimism.

“If it were not for that mansion would be obsolete unbeatable views” Hilde’s father said looking through the window. He was about fifty. Rosy skin and brown hair its bright black eyes revealed a deep greed that lurked not flaunting at every opportunity. “Here comes Jan” Alexander said with a smile. Jan Mosler was the friend of Alexander. He was a year older than him. Of a hardy, brown hair with a trimmed beard and mustache. His dark eyes expressed a deep calm not without force contained. Medical profession was pragmatic temperament. He was accompanied by his wife Rebecca. From 25 years and plump body, her green eyes were the most attractive of his face. He was easygoing and a lover of sewing.

As will the hypothetical reader, that day I have explored every corner of the house. Later, at dinner, he mentioned Alexander something the rest did not see. “There is light at the mansion” “Impossible” Jan said with his usual phlegm. But turning the head saw as distinguished a luminescence in the neighboring house. “It must be an optical illusion caused by the streetlights outside and the light of the full moon” doctor sentenced again returning to eat. Rebecca looked nervous light. Franz Behm started talking about sales of tissues while watching his beloved Hilde. She knew what she was feeling Alexander. I knew that night would not return until he had discovered the mystery.

“I can not believe …” Jan said stunned watching the light coming from a room in the mansion. There, in the middle of the street, were Alexander, Hilde, Jan, Rebecca and Franz Behm engrossed watching the scene. How come there was light in the mansion? Was he inhabited? That was not possible because they had previously been circling around the perimeter and had not seen or heard anyone. So …? What was it? “Let’s see it,” Alexander said heading for the door. Franz Behm daughter looked worried as saying “Do something!”. Hilde looked at his father and said nothing accompanying his fiance. “This is crazy!” exclaimed the merchant throwing hands to the head. Rebecca grabbed the arm of her husband, who was torn between leaving and follow his friend. Finally opted for the latter. “Stay with Mr. Franz Behm.’ll Be back soon,” he told his wife.

The door was ajar so Alexander only had to push to enter accompanied by Hilde. The brightness of the light of the full moon made could glimpse inside the lobby. I had an old armor full of cobwebs, several chairs and decayed remains of what was a wall mirror on the floor. “What room is the light?” Alexander asked, turning his head slowly trying to find a stairway or passageway. Hilde walked beside him feeling his heavy breathing. His chest felt a slight tightness caused by the uncertainty of the mystery. Never had walked off alone but Alexander had gone anywhere. “I hear footsteps” Hilde said. “Who goes?” Alexander asked. “It’s me” said Jan approaching sweaty. It was hot but what made him fear that the mild sweating doctor. It was the first time I felt I did not have a logical explanation for what I was experiencing. All his experience and erudition were no good at all at the time when he inexplicably appeared before breaking into his quiet life.

Down the hall Alexander saw a ladder. Followed. They walked slowly, considering the precarious situation of the whole place. The stairs creaked. It seemed that at any moment they were going to crumble. Alexander was first looking forward to everything he saw. He was playing with his hand Hilde arm of her lover. Jan closed the group walking slowly feeling like his muscles stiffened by now. Suddenly, they heard footsteps above them. “Steps!” said the doctor surprised. “If. Come upstairs” said Alexander. Continued to rise. At the next level saw a large room with two single beds and various wooden toys on the floor. And again the steps. “Again …” Jan said dully. “They come from there,” Hilde said pointing to a hallway which came a light. “There he is! Luminescence we saw!” Alexander said. At that moment stiffness end Jan felt in the lower extremities. The feet were not moving. His legs trembled. “What do you think of Jan?” Alexander asked looking at him. It was the first time he saw his friend that way. The fear was raging in the normally phlegmatic Jan Mosler. “Those voices …” Alexander said turning. In doing so he saw two shadows crossing the hall ran into the room lit. Moved by an irresistible impulse walked toward the camera followed by Hilde. To get there they saw a striking scene in which two children dressed spectra of night clothes on the floor playing with two rag dolls. There was also the spectral figure of a middle-aged woman wearing her hair affectionately watching. Apparently indifferent to Hilde and Alexander. Did not see them? Possibly. The truth is that the scene lasted several minutes. The couple looked on with a mixture of admiration and a certain chill. A feeling of sublime mystery.

Meanwhile, Jan was still stiff and tears began to emerge down her cheeks. That is human nature. So fragile and changing as the blades of a paper mill.

When they returned they were greeted warmly as if they had just returned from Hades. Especially by Rebecca which hugged her husband leaning to mourn. Meanwhile, Franz Behm, though visibly shaken, stored more composure. The truth is that I was ashamed for not having dared to accompany his daughter. Jan also felt some trouble but knew his friend would not reveal his cowardly behavior. But who has not acted like himself in a similar situation? Few indeed. Ones with a special mood. Beings as Alexander and Hilde who were grateful for having lived such an experience together. Never anything like that happened again in the mansion of the willows. Over time, Jan was able to find an explanation for all the past considering their experience as a hallucination brought on by your subconscious. That calmed his excited wife but not him. That did not change much, at first glance at least, which was Franz Behm business continued his tissues. His true passion. Only Alexander and Hilde retained in their memory of past experience as a unique opportunity to plunge into the mystery of the beyond-a mystery that we will all live when when the time comes, let the other side.
